home sweet home

We love it out here in the beautiful PaumaValley. All the thousands of orange trees remind Joe of the Orange Co. days, where he was born and when there were still "oranges". It's a pretty slow pace, not even a stop light in sight. Our front door looks out at horses and Palomar Mt. , my favorite mountain. We went to the little video store today and they closed early....sign said GONE FISHING. The little village where our home is was once a hideaway for John Wayne and he would roam the hills on his horse. It is very green and peaceful. Good shopping is just 20 mins. away in Temecula. I am learning to explore the old city of Escondido, where I was born and where both my parents went to H S and where all five generations are buried and we will be the sixth to "retire" there. Every Mother's Day the families who purchased the very old homes and restored them , open them for us to tour and it brings back lots of memories of the days I would visit my grandparents farm in old Escondido. Want to do something fun in Escondido? Come join us every Friday eve on Gran Ave......"Cruis'n Grand" There is nothing like it. People come from all over....... Well.......better sign off.........Love ya, Donna

MITT BLOG!!!!

you might want to check in to Vic's blogs .....he's on the Mitt Romney trail. I love to see what he 's writing.

Family Reunion.

With a little luck, my son Vic (Lundquist) will go in later and add some photos of most of our kids and their kids taken at our home in Pauma Valley on our 40th Anniversary. Three great grandsons have joined our family since then, so it's time to round up everyone again ...............................

Mitt Romney Fundraiser

August 13 was a pretty exciting day for our family. We attended a BarB-Q to honor Mitt Romney in Irvine at Strawberry Farms Golf Course. He was introduced by Hugh Hewitt, well know talk show host. H.Hewitt signed my book "A MORMAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE" and Mitt signed his book "TURN AROUND" , all about the Salt Lake olympics.

Finally! Modern grandma.

A photo shoot she recently photographed.

My old dress from the 50s, grandpa's favorite

star gazing and laughing our heads off!

Hi......I now have my very own blog, just in time for my 69th B-day. My darling and talented granddaughter said "come on grandma, get with it". She's pretty special. She was born on my 50th B-day. How's that for timing? She's here today with a pretty handsome friend who fixed our dvd player and so before she heads off to bussiness school in Provo, Ut., she's helping me design my blog. We have had a ball trying on vintage dresses, one being my grandmother Rosar's, over 120 yrs old. The yellow lace dress I made when Joe and I were first married in 1965. Here are some of her latest photos . She's good ...........Amazing.
